At Henry Street Fitness (HSF), we teach Pilates in its most authentic form. Our founder is a second-generation teacher, classically trained and certified by Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ chosen successor. With over 23 years of teaching experience, HSF blends tradition, expertise, and community to deliver results that last. Joseph Pilates was a wrestler, acrobat, and weightlifter. He created Pilates as a method of strength-based, full-body conditioning. At Henry Street Fitness, we carry that vision forward with two powerful approaches: Tower Pilates classes and strength training with weights.

At Henry Street Fitness, we teach authentic Pilates on The Tower, the original equipment designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1930s. Every client works on their own Tower unit under the eye of our incredibly diligent instructors. We also offer strength training classes with the same intense focus on form and alignment that you have come to expect from our Pilates. These sessions help build muscle, support bone density, and challenge your body in new ways.
